AS FOR ME & MINE
When I write to impress You,
My poems don’t sound.
When I write to impress Me,
My poems are convoluted and obtuse.
When I write because “IT” won’t let me rest until I do,
My poems are pretty decent.

I always write for me. If others happen to like it, that’s nice.
