This constant division
Is shameful to Paternity:
It should shame you,
And it GREATLY ashames me.

The only winners in this
Ridiculous, dangerous game
Won’t be us, for we’ve become
Collectively, court-admissibly insane.

No, this Inbred squawking
And incessant fighting
Only serves in delighting
Our political enemies.

While we stomp, finger-point,
Scream, and air dirty laundry,
The Whole World watches
So THEY can feel clean.

It’s not hard to pull off;
We’ve become so ugly,
In comparison,
Even the most troubling
National Threats
Appear serene.
